Not many years ago there might be one recliner chair in a whole giant showroom of sitting room furniture. Twenty or thirty years ago they were the most sat upon in the showroom and the least bought. Because of their rareness they were seen almost as a gimmick and after all the family had had a go sitting in it and having a good laugh, (particularly if it was the type that had an inbuilt massage facility), the family would move on and plump for the boring dreaded three piece suite.
